Bob Hope Bridge Construction - 8/02/2010

Falsework construction on the southside of I-10 is underway. Crews recently poured the last of the new bridge columns. Trucks will continue to haul fill onto the job site for the eastbound on-ramp for approximately 4 more weeks.

Ramon Road / Bob Hope Drive - April 2010

Trucks will be hauling dirt from Varner Rd to the project site on the south side of I-10 via Ramon Rd 4/21 & 4/22 from 9pm – 5am. Please watch for slow moving trucks.

Crews continue to build the abutments on the north and south side of I-10 for the new Bob Hope Drive bridge. Work will begin on curb, gutter and asphalt on the north side of I-10 over the next month.

Palm Drive / Gene Autry Trail - April 2010

Trucks will begin hauling dirt during the week of April 26th along Gene Autry Trail from E. Palm Canyon Drive to the project site on the south side of I-10. Hauling will take place between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Friday for the next 2-3 weeks.

Crews are currently working on the foundation for the abutment on the north side of I-10.

Ramon Road / Bob Hope Drive Interchange Project

For the next few weeks, dump trucks will be hauling dirt from Los Alamos Road to the project site at Ramon Road and Bob Hope Drive south of I-10. The drivers will be working Monday – Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM. The dirt will be used to build the approaches to the new Bob Hope Drive Bridge over I-10. Please slow down and watch for trucks along Los Alamos and Ramon roads.

Palm Drive / Gene Autry Trail Interchanges Project

In the next few weeks, the contractor will begin building embankments for the new bridge on the east side of the existing I-10 overcrossing. Additional construction activities include installing an environmental fence and clearing out brush in the dirt areas between the ramps and the freeway.

Ramon Road / Bob Hope Drive Interchange Project
For the next few weeks, dump trucks will be hauling dirt along Ramon Road from Los Alamos Rd to the project site at I-10 Monday – Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM. Please slow down and watch for trucks along Ramon Rd.

Palm Drive / Gene Autry Trail Interchanges Project

The contractor is currently doing survey work for this project and traffic will not be affected. Watch for future closure information.

The I-10 Coachella Valley Corridor projects are overseen by the Coachella Valley Corridor Projects Task Force, a coalition that includes the County of Riverside, Caltrans, the Coachella Valley Association of Governments and the desert cities.

The Interstate 10 Conservation Plan offsets impacts to the habitat of two federally listed species, the Coachella Valley fringe-toed lizard and the Coachella Valley milk-vetch. It provided for the construction of critically important interchanges and roadways through purchase of 1,795 acres of conservation land in the Coachella Valley. The Plan is considered part of the recently approved Coachella Valley Multiple Species Conservation Plan (MSHCP). All land purchased for the I-10 CP projects will become part of the overall MSHCP reserve system in the Coachella Valley.
